No more 5am wake ups – thank you!

My son has never been the best sleeper but he'd go to bed at 8.30pm and sleep solidly until around 4am where I would feed him back to sleep or bring him in bed with me. Sometimes he would go back to sleep other times we were up watching thomas the tank engine at 5.15am! When he reached 18 months and I gave birth to our second child the early morning waking started to take it's toll. My husband and I were permanently tired and grumpy with each other and our children. So I decided enough was enough. A friend had recommended Baby Tech Support so I signed up for their advice, I only wish I had done it sooner!

The sleep plan that they gave me helped me change his meal times, nap times and bedtime and fit it all around my 6 week old baby girl. I was adamant that I didn't want to leave him to cry and I was fearful that this is what they would suggest, as so many others had just told me to leave him to cry. Thankfully they helped me with alternative methods to get him back to sleep that I felt comfortable with. It was hard going at first and so many times i was tempted just to bring him in bed with us to get a few more minutes rest. After 5 days he started to wake at 6.30am, I couldn't believe it.

We had one more 5 am wake up the next day but since then he has slept until 6.30-7am every morning. We really didn't realise how tired we were, particularly charlie but as soon as he was getting 12 hours sleep a night he was a different boy. The tantrums stopped, he ate better and he was much happier!

Gemma helped me with my daughter too so that she was napping well and is only waking once in the night for a feed now. Somedays I even get an hour where they are both napping at the same time.

I never thought i would ask for help but I am so pleased I did. I was so tired i just couldn't figure out what was going on and Gemma talked me through it and gave me lots of encouragement.

I thought that I had to accept the 5am starts and permanent state of exhaustion but I am so grateful that Baby Tech Support showed me how to change things.

Thank you so much for everything!
